Programs

Allegheny County offers a number of resources to communities to strengthen and promote traditional business districts, to preserve and restore historic architecture, and to provide access to community gardens.

• Allegheny Together: This program provides downtown-based communities with a host of dynamic services aimed towards the sustainable revitalization of their business districts over a three year period.
• Allegheny Restores: Businesses who are located in designated Allegheny Together communities are eligible for the Allegheny Restores program which provides matching grants to business owners and building owners who wish to make physical improvements to their building façades.
• Allegheny Grows: Through this pilot program, Allegheny County will partner with local organizations to plant community gardens in an effort to bring local food to more communities throughout the county.
